What sets your company apart from others?
Our DJs! Our School DJs have more experience, more polished professionalism than any other in Maryland and Pennsylvania. We have performed for over 200 Maryland and Pennsylvania based schools. On top of that we perform for Ramshead Live, Random House, McCormick, U.S.S. Constellation, Baltimore World Trade Center, Hyatt Regency Baltimore, Martin's East/West/Crosswinds/Westminster, Valencia Ballroom
Is "grinding" a concern to the School Administration?
We hear this concern from every school. The solution to this concern is that we are professional disc jockeys and we are trained in how to handle the way students dance. What we do is more of a technique. PartyTyme Entertainment DJs know how to read crowds and cater the music to their needs. If grinding is of a concern, we change up the tempo of the music to top 40, hip hop, or the classics like ACDC, Journey, or Sir-Mix-A-Lot.
Who are your Disc Jockeys?
Our company is comprised of seasoned personalities who have an enormous amount of school entertainment experience. Some of our DJs are in college, and others are well known club djs in baltimore and Annapolis. Their skills are kept sharp by busy prom and homecoming schedules and our ongoing training and seminars.
What will the DJ wear?
Business casual, unless you request otherwise.
I'm going to need a lot of guidance as I plan my dance. Can you help?
One of the most important services we offer, which is part of hiring PartyTyme Entertainment, is the assistance of the owner Barry Hart. He will help you carefully plan every detail of your event and he is available to talk 7 days a week from 8AM-11PM at (410) 329-6067 or (800) 660-0447.
Will the DJ play my requests?
Absolutely. Contrary to the beliefs of some people, WE KNOW it's your dance. Your DJ will play the songs on the music list that you've created using our online interactive database and steer clear of those that you don't want.
What if we want to hear a song that's not on the play list?
Beyond what you see in our music database, we have a master music library that contains more than 45,000 songs, virtually everything popular from the Big Band Era to today's Top 40. So, if you don't see a particular selection, call us, there's a good chance that it's in our library.
Do I have to pick all the music?
No. We believe that the best events are those where you have given us guidelines and we do what we do best.
What does the equipment look like?
You'll be happy to know that we believe in filling the room with sound, NOT equipment. Our Digital sound systems are attractive, compact and deliver high quality coverage for up to 1,200 people. They include a wireless microphone for all of your announcements. You will not need to supply cables, all we need is an outlet. Plus, we take the time to hide all of the wires and cables out of sight.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes. We bring plenty of extra gear...just in case.
Do you put up any signs or banners?
Absolutely Not!
What if, due to an emergency, my DJ can't make it to the reception?
If the DJ is medically unable to attend, we will send our on-call DJ to your dance. We have a DJ on-call 365 days of the year, just in case. In our twenty year history, we have never missed an event.
Does the DJ require a meal?
Most per-meal charges are excessive; please do not feel compelled to include the DJ in the meal count, many times the DJs can "fend for themselves". You may wish to ask your caterer if "vendor meals" are provided.
Is it appropriate to tip the DJ?
If you feel your disc jockey has delivered exceptional service, a tip will be appreciated.
What if, at the dance, we want the DJ to play beyond the contracted time?
This happens more than you think and it is no problem! The DJ would rather stay and party than go home. Simply authorize the DJ to stay as long as you want. Overtime charges will be found on your contract that you sign.
I do not feel comfortable ordering my Party Favors from the Party Store, can I order them PartyTyme Entertainment?
Of Course! You can contact us any day of the week and speak with Barry. He works directly with Shearman Specialty Company, Inc. in New York and can bring the party handouts to your school event.
I did not receive a client login username and password...what do I do?
This is indeed a free feature we offer if you book with us; however, we only give you an account if you ask for it. We found in the past with school dances we give clients their personal login and they choose not to take advantage of it. This is most likely because we work off of recommendations from past clients! If you would like a personal login, send an email to info@partytyme-entertainment.com with the subject "Requesting a Client Login". In the email provide your name, event location, event date, event time, and your phone number. Once we verify you have signed a contract with PartyTyme, you will receive an email with your credentials. |
